
Class: The Business of Art
This class is designed to help artists learn the business aspects of the art world. Learn how to use free online tools to help organize your art business and finances. Gain an understanding of different platforms to collect payments online and how costs differ. Set up a sales sheet to track your inventory, costs, profits and calculate taxes. Use online tools to help market and grow your art business. Create FREE QR codes that won’t expire. Make posters, ads, flyers, and clickable Social Media posts.
There will be an in-depth presentation followed by time to practice your new skills and ending with a question and answer session.
Missy is a practicing artist and art educator who runs her own business, Rooted Design, LLC and has plenty of practical experience to share. She believes that if we share our gained knowledge it makes our community stronger. Missy is not a licensed tax or marketing professional and everything shared in this workshop is her opinion only.
All skill levels are welcome to attend although attendees will get the most out of this course if they bring a laptop and follow along.

Laptop computer
Access to a Google Gmail account (you can create a free Gmail email account if you don’t already have one)
