Class: Mandala Dot Painting

Discover the calming and creative world of mandala dot painting! In this fun and easy class, you’ll learn how to create beautiful, unique designs using simple dotting techniques. Whether you’re a beginner or looking for a new creative outlet, this relaxing art form is perfect for unwinding and expressing your artistic side.

Using stencils, we’ll guide you step-by-step to create your own mandala masterpieces on a 6″x6″ canvas. You can also use this technique to decorate rocks or designs on paper for greeting cards. Choose your colors, explore patterns, and leave with finished pieces you’ll be proud to keep or gift.

No experience needed – all materials provided. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to relax and enjoy the process!

Whether you are a budding or experienced artist, our classes offer a nurturing environment to develop your skills and explore your creativity. With guidance from Mary Olsen, founder of Art Start NW and Graphite Arts Center you will have the opportunity to play with clay, connect with others and express yourself through your own unique artistic vision.

This is an explorational class for all levels – beginners to advanced – everyone is welcome to come and make art with us. Children 10+ are welcome to take this class with an adult. Both adult and child must register and pay separately.

All supplies are included for creating one 6″x6″ dot painting. If you want to paint a rock, please bring your own.

Mary Olsen is a working artist driven by a belief that art instruction is an integral part of a quality education. Mary founded Art Start NW to bring enrichment into Edmonds Public Schools. That mission expanded with the creation of Graphite, a physical home for artists to work in their preferred medium, collaborate and show their work. Mary’s commitment to making Edmonds a center for visual art inspires teachers, Art Start NW staff and visitors every day.
