Class: Impressionistic Landscapes

Capture the mood, light, and movement of the natural world in this hands-on painting workshop. Over two sessions, you’ll experiment with how to draw and paint a landscape using your choice of materials. Designed to help you let go of rigid details, this course focuses on creating fluid scenery using soft, blended lines and expressive brushwork. You will practice mixing colors directly on the canvas to build rich textures and vibrant luminosity. Perfect for painters looking to develop a looser, more atmospheric style and discover the spontaneous joy of Impressionism.

During the first session, you will learn drawing techniques and experiment with materials you might want to use in your final piece. The second session you will paint in the medium of your choice. By the end of class, you’ll have completed your own unique landscape piece, plus gained new tools and techniques to continue creating more artwork.

This is an explorational class for all levels – beginners to advanced – everyone is welcome to come and make art with us. All supplies are included, but feel free to bring your own supplies you’d like to use.
