Class: Flow Together: Partner Watercolor – July 2026
In this collaborative class you will explore creativity, communication, and spontaneity. Participants will work in pairs to create shared and individual watercolor pieces, learning to respond intuitively to each other’s marks, colors, and ideas. Through guided exercises and open-ended projects, you’ll experiment with fluid techniques, layering, and blending while practicing creative dialogue. Whether you’re bringing a friend, brother, sister, daughter, son or significant other, this lighthearted experience is all about creativity, laughter, and connection.
There is a $10 supply fee which includes the use of professional watercolor paints, paper and brushes. This class is about using having fun and removing the stress of having to create a product. No watercolor experience is necessary.
About Missy Hancock:
Missy has a Masters Degree in Teaching from Seattle University and a combined 20+ years of experience teaching in and out of the classroom. In 2022, she started Rooted Design, LLC with the hope to bring positivity and purpose to people’s lives through art. She thinks there is an artist inside all of us and strives to encourage people to make something beautiful. This creativity, in turn, makes them more beautiful. She believes the space around you is a reflection of the space within you; this is how art can heal the world. Missy is also the Director of School Programs for Art Start NW, a non-profit that operates inside of Graphite Arts Center. We share lessons, art supplies and art opportunities to teachers.
