Teacher Workshop: Exploring Fall Leaves

Exploring Fall Leaves
Art making using multiple media
Sept 17, 4:30-6:30pm

Kick off the school year with us as we dive into art making using multiple media. Join us as we show you how you can use a simple subject like fall leaves to create a handful of fun projects with charcoal, pen, pencil, oil pastel, watercolor, acrylic, collage, clay and more! As we explore art making techniques, we will build your knowledge and your confidence, so you can extend art making with your students throughout the school year on any topic.

No experience is required. Classroom teachers can earn two professional clock hours. This workshop is FREE for all Art Start NW partnership teachers and Para-professionals. Cost for non-partnership teachers, Para-professionals, and volunteers is $10. Everyone is welcome to attend, so bring a friend! All supplies are included. Light refreshments will be provided.

We are excited to work with our 2025-26 partnership schools: Chase Lake Elementary, Cedar Valley Elementary, College Place Elementary, Lynndale Elementary, Spruce Elementary, College Place Middle, Alderwood Middle and Madrona 7th and 8th grade students.

This teacher workshop is available to any teacher or educator from any school in any school district. The workshop is geared toward K-8th learners, however the strategies shared can easily be adapted for PreK through 12th grade.
