Class: Exploring Plants in Art
Immerse yourself in the beauty of plants, from delicate houseplants to blooming florals, wildflowers, and majestic trees. Using a variety of mediums, including pencils, charcoal, watercolor, and acrylics, you will learn to capture the intricacies and textures of plants, experimenting with different techniques to bring your subjects to life on paper or canvas.
Whether you are a budding artist or an experienced painter, this class offers a nurturing environment to develop your skills and explore your creativity. With guidance from Mary Olsen, founder of Art Start NW and Graphite Arts Center you will have the opportunity to practice observational drawing, color theory, and composition, while connecting with nature and expressing your unique artistic vision.
Join us on a botanical journey, discovering the beauty of the plant world through art. This is an explorational class for all levels – beginners to advanced – everyone is welcome to come and make art with us.
All supplies are included, but feel free to bring your own supplies and photos of plants you’d like to use in your artwork.
