Class: Clay Pumpkins

Create your own unique handbuilt clay pumpkins in this fun two-part workshop.

Class 1 (Sept 30): Learn handbuilding techniques to shape and sculpt your pumpkins, adding your own creative details, textures and personality.
Class 2 (Oct 7): Return to glaze your fired pieces with your choice of colors and finishes, making them truly one of a kind.

Finished pumpkins can be picked up approximately 2 weeks after the second class. Students will be notified when their pieces are ready. Yes! They will be ready before Halloween (and Thanksgiving) to add to your holiday decor.

This is an explorational class for all levels – beginners to advanced – everyone is welcome to come and make art with us. All supplies (including clay, glazes, tools and firing) are provided with a $20 supply fee paid to the instructor. Students will have time to make up to 5 small pumpkins, approximately 3″x3″ in size.

About Julie Perrine:
After taking her first pottery class in the early ’80s Julie never looked back. As a full time studio artist, she spends her time making functional and sculptural clay work that she sells out of her studio at Graphite Arts Center. She has been a teaching artist in the Edmonds and Shoreline Schools districts over the past 25 plus years and enjoys  sharing different art techniques and engaging with her students to bring out their full potential.

Cost: $125 + $20 supply fee payable to the instructor
Ages: Adults 18+, Under 18 are okay, if accompanied by a paying adult

Class fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Register early! If there are less than 6 people in a class, the class could get cancelled and your money will be refunded.
