Landscape painter, instructor, and best-selling author Mitchell Albala will be hosting an author event and book signing for his newest offering: “New Lessons in Landscape Painting: Key Concepts and Exercises in Color and Composition.” You’ll hear the answer to the question Mitchell is asked most often: How does this new book differ from his previous books on landscape painting? After a brief tour of the topics, exercises, and demonstrations in the book, Mitchell will give a short presentation on the topic of color temperature, so you can walk away with some practical strategies you can apply to your painting right now. We will wrap up with an audience Q&A on all things landscape painting.

“Albala’s two previous books have all the makings of a classic … I wondered if he could draw from the well one more time with this third offering. The answer is a resounding ‘Yes.’ Albala is not only a gifted artist and instructor, but has an ability to break down concepts into concise, cogent language as very few artists can do.” – Ray Munger, artist
